The plaque commemorates Ebenezer`s first Presbyterian Church religious service which was held underneath a tree.  

Under the leadership of Presbyterian James Mein, and also due to the influence of the Reverend John Dunmore Lang from Sydney Town, Ebenezer Church became the first Presbyterian Church in Australia and is Australia's oldest church.

This Plaque Was Unveiled By Councillor B. E. Brown D.F.C. President, Hawkesbury Shire Council On 10th October 1982.
