Dear Monument Australia visitors, we are a self-funded, non-profit organisation, dedicated to recording monuments throughout Australia. Over time the costs of maintaining this website have risen substantially (in fact they are probably larger than those of many companies who exist for profit). In the past we have borne all the costs associated with maintaining the website but we are now having difficulties in paying the monthly expenses.
If Monument Australia is useful to you, please make a donation to keep this historical and educational resource available. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

North Star Honour Roll Print Page

The wooden honour roll commemorates those from the district who served in World War Two. The honour roll was presented by Mr. and Mrs. Doolin in memory of their son.
The unveiling of the North Star Honour Board, which was postponed recently owing to rain, is to take place next Sunday afternoon at 3. The honour board, which has been erected in the public hall, has been presented by Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Doolin, of "Myall Downs," in memory of their son. It bears 63 names of men who enlisted from the distrcit, five of whom were killed. Brigadier Fergusson will perform the ceremony. The ladies will provide afternoon tea.
