The Soldiers Memorial Wing commemorates those who enlisted from the Black Springs District in World War One.  The wing is an extension at the eastern end of the hall with a bronze plaque affixed to the northern wall. 

In memory of the soldiers who enlisted from the Black Springs district, a memorial wing has been added to the local hall and on Wednesday. November 21, in perfect weather, was declared open by the Hon. George Ritchie, who delivered an eloquent speech, mainly referring to the fallen soldiers.
