ANZAC Memorial Walk Print Page Print this page

The ANZAC Memorial Walk commemorates those who served in World War One from Gallipoli to the Armistice.

Surrounding a statue of Lieutenant Chapman, believed to have been the first man to land at Gallipoli, the 5 million dollar memorial incorporates other sculptural and audio elements. Stories of soldiers, ironbark representations of three 9th Battalion boats that were first to land at ANZAC Cove and massive steel weathered columns soaring to 8 metres, representing the cliffs of Gallipoli, are part of the tribute.
