Centenary of ANZACPrint Page Print this page

The time capsule commemorates the centenary of the ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) landings at Gallipoli in Turkey in April 1915 during World War One.

The Centenary also commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts after World War One in which Australia has been involved.

The Time Capsule contains many items of significance. Amongst the treasures to be opened in a century’s time was a memory stick containing this year’s Premier’s Spirit of ANZAC Award recipient, Natalie Barbazza’s submission and speech; a newspaper (dated April 22, 2015); photograph of the plaque’s unveiling; writing reflections from the Year 9 cohort; and College Principal, Mrs Patricia Cowling’s reflection of school life today and her hope for the future.
